(Blog update from January, 2010)
Happy New Year! We have a committee of devoted friends who have agreed to reconcept and redesign our websites! While in the community of like minded individuals and organizations at Greeen Festival, in San Francisco November last year, it occurred to me that the words of this website are nearly a year old. Much of the vision has changed since then, as we've come to understand how to support our members. The thought I had at Green Festival, as I pondered our websites is that words are important and to use and choose the right words are critical. Sometimes the words and images is what an organization depends on to build membership.
But more important than words are intention. To communicate intention, it is often necessary to tap into the spirit which connects us. So to make a long story short, the words of this website need to change and I ask you, as a favor, to try to tap into the intention. Even the name EFMA can change if that is what the members of the community will decide to do. But the intention from which EFMA sprung is the same underlying movement which had thousands of us gathering in San Francisco last year.
A note about the video. This video was produced after the Green Festival and we can post similar videos on hundreds of company Facebook pages and also put more of this out there on YouTube and in other social media. The goal is to support the work of hundreds of companies and organizations who already produce products which are healthy and safe and also good for the environment.
